Imagination and the Spiritual Path

In this talk, Gyodo Sensei encourages us to maintain a childlike spirit of wonder on our spiritual path, to embrace the co-creative dimension which is fundamental to being human.

Indeed, it is imagination itself that brought us to spiritual practice - a sense that “the world could be otherwise,” as Norman Fischer proposes in his book on the six paramitas, imagination and the Bodhisattva path.

Master Unmon said “Every day is a good day.” Is this denial? Or is it possible? How do we imagine our lives to be?
