Embracing Strong Emotions

We have so much agency in how we choose to respond in every moment. But we don’t always feel this way. Instead, we are often carried away by reactive patterns, especially in response to strong emotions. Fear. Anger. Sorrow. Shame. Powerlessness. Humiliation. Grief.

These feelings can be really uncomfortable. But they are life itself. And they can be gateways into the experience of our true self. We can choose to feel them, or choose to avoid them. The karma we create is completely different with each choice.
